To be able to process the grassy/water after the Carts have been hosed down, either a mobile metal wash pad or a concrete wash pad is required at the maintenance facility.
The size of this wash pad is dependent on the amount of equipment that is needed to be washed each day. Typically a 18 hole golf course will require a 2 – 3 hose reel wash pad layout, while a 36 hole course, in a high grass growth area of the US, may need 4 – 5 hoses.
While mobile metal wash pads are an option, normally Courses select a sloped concrete wash pad of between 30 ft wide and 20 ft deep.
Location and size on a Wash Pad will be dependent not only on the number of hose reels, but on the proximity of the courses fueling facility, blow down area and chemical mixing area, and as to whether these other uses, can be combined.
Freylit will design, in coordination with the Golf Course Superintendent, the Wash Pad and trench, and commissions & supervises a local concrete laying company, to form and lay the concrete, trench and associated sump pit.
